Supreme Judicial Court’s Standing Committee
on Pro Bono Services Hosts Outreach Meeting in Hampden County
The Supreme Judicial Court’s Standing Committee on Pro Bono Services held an outreach meeting at the Western Housing Court in Springfield on September 19. Judges and attorneys discussed pro bono services in Hampden County and statewide, sharing their professional experiences, insights, and best practices with the audience. Members of the bar, judiciary, and students from Western New England College School of Law attended the event to learn about pro bono services and opportunities.
Established in 1999, the Supreme Judicial Court’s Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services works to promote volunteer legal work in Massachusetts to help people of limited means in need of legal representation, in accordance with SJC Rule 6.1.
