HONORABLE ROBERT
A. MULLIGAN BEGINS TERM
AS CHIEF JUSTICE FOR ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT
Boston, MA - On
behalf of the Justices of the Supreme Judicial Court,
Chief Justice Margaret H. Marshall lauded Chief Justice
for Administration and Management Robert A. Mulligan
as “a strong leader of great abilities who can lead the
Trial Court through this time of opportunity and fiscal
challenges,” during a reception held October 1 in honor
of his first day as Chief Justice. Chief Justice Mulligan,
citing the Report of the Visiting Committee on Management
of the Courts as a “clear call to action,” said he would
serve as a “change agent” to improve the administrative
structure of the Trial Court and to draw upon the reservoir
of talent of people in the court system.
