Chief Justice Margaret H. Marshall delivered her Annual Address to the Legal Community on October 22, 2008 in the Great Hall of the John Adams Courthouse.

More than 100 lawyers, judges, clerks, and court employees attended the event, sponsored by the Massachusetts Bar Association.

Following the speech, Chief Justice Margaret H. Marshall answered questions from the audience.

Chief Justice for Administration & Management Robert A. Mulligan received the Distinguished Service Award from Mary McQueen, President of the National Center for State Courts, headquartered in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Chief Justice Mulligan accepted the award on behalf of the chief justices, judges, clerks, registers, and the probation, security and clerical staff who work diligently in courthouses across the state.
