SUPREME
JUDICIAL COURT TO HOLD SITTING IN
BROCKTON ON NOVEMBER 7
What:
The Justices of
the Supreme Judicial Court will hear oral arguments in
five cases on appeal in the Brockton Superior Courthouse.
This is the SJC’s first sitting in Brockton and is part
of the continuing efforts to bring the state’s highest
court to communities outside Boston, where the Court generally
sits. Since 1993, the SJC has held sittings in Salem,
Northhampton, Plymouth, Worcester, Barnstable, Springfield,
Lowell, Pittsfield, Greenfield, and Fall River. Teachers
and students from local schools have been invited to attend.

Speakers:
The public is invited to attend. Oral arguments for
each case take approximately thirty minutes. Seating
in the courtroom is on a first come, first served basis.
The SJC rules for cameras in the courtroom will apply.
