Assistant Clerk-Magistrate of Fall River District Court
Boston, MA — Fall
River District Court Clerk-Magistrate Ronald A. Valcourt recently
appointed Attorney Nancy K. Wasserman of Stoughton as Assistant
Clerk-Magistrate at the Fall River District Court, effective October
24, 2005. Attorney Wasserman had been serving in that position
as a temporary employee since March. Chief Justice for Administration

"Attorney
Wasserman is well known to this court, and has always been a consummate
professional," Clerk-Magistrate Valcourt said. "For
seventeen years she has effectively performed the duties of Assistant
District Attorney, and prosecutor, in both the Adult and Juvenile

past seven months as a temporary Assistant Clerk-Magistrate, she
has consistently displayed sound judgment, an excellent work ethic,
and an impressive knowledge of the laws of the Commonwealth. I
know that she will prove to be an outstanding Assistant Clerk-Magistrate,
and will be a great asset to our court and to the community for
many years to come."
Ms.
Wasserman served as an Assistant District Attorney for Bristol
County from 1988 until she began working for the Court. An adjunct
professor at Western New England College, she teaches criminal
law, ethics, and the judicial process to graduate and undergraduate

from 1985 to 1987. She received a J.D. degree and a B.A. degree
from Emory University.
