Ware Report To Be Released by Supreme Judicial Court Today
Statement by Justices and Report To Be Posted on SJC Website at 1:30 p.m.
On November 9, 2010, the Justices of the Supreme Judicial Court received a report from Independent Counsel, Paul F. Ware, who was appointed to conduct an administrative inquiry into alleged improprieties with respect to the hiring and promotion of employees within the Probation Department, as well as other practices and management decisions within the Probation Department that have been called into question. By order of the Court, the report has been impounded.
On November 18, 2010, at 1:30 p.m., the Justices will modify the Impoundment Order to allow public access to the report. The exhibits remain impounded until further order by the Court.
At 1:30 p.m. today, a statement by the Justices of the Supreme Judicial Court and the report will be posted on the Court’s website at www.mass.gov/sjc.
