Woburn District Court Probation Officer Beverly Gibson has formed a correspondence network for Probation employees who have been deployed to Iraq.
Gibson, chief organizer of the annual Blood Drive at her court, will maintain a list of employees who are in Iraq. She encourages Probation and court employees to contact her for information on where to send letters, cards and care packages to those who have been deployed.
"We want them to know that we care about them and that they are missed," said Gibson. Gibson said she will personally take requests from Probation employees in Iraq for personal care items, snacks, and other reminders of home. Requested items will be posted on the Probation Intranet Page (coming soon).
Gibson also encourages Probation and court staff to keep her abreast of employees who have been deployed so that she may add them to her growing list.
"I just wanted to help in some way," said Gibson. For more information, contact Gibson at 781-935-4000, ext. 266.
