Probation Employee Recognition Award Recipients are Chosen
Twenty-two Probation employees from across
the Commonwealth will be honored at the 6th Annual Probation
Employee Recognition Awards Ceremony in The Great Hall
at the State House on Friday, May 16th.
“The employees who have been selected
to receive the award represent the best of the Massachusetts
Probation Service and are worthy of this recognition,” said
Probation Commissioner John J. O’Brien.
Eight Probation Officers, five Probation
Officer II’s, three Associate Probation Officers,
two First Assistant Chief Probation Officers, two Support
Staff employees, and two Assistant Chief Probation Officers
will be celebrated for their contributions to the Massachusetts
Probation Service.
The eight Probation Officer honorees are Clifford
Flynn, Southern Berkshire District
Court; Sandra Adams, Attleboro
District Court; Kerrin Costello, Essex
Juvenile Court; Linda Singer, Franklin
Probate & Family Court; Edwin
Welch, Middlesex Probate & Family
Court; Steve Koenig, Norfolk
Superior Court; Christopher Gray, Plymouth
Juvenile Court; and John Christopher, Boston
Municipal Court-Dorchester Division.
Probation Officer II honorees include Ralph
Pena, Jr., Orleans District
Court; Donelle M. Gomes, Fall
River District Court; Sharon Crowley, Haverhill
District Court; Barry Sullivan, Hingham
District Court; Kevin Brennan, Boston
Municipal Court-West Roxbury Division.
Associate Probation Officers Leanne
Potter, Barnstable Juvenile Court-Plymouth
site; Laura Garrant, Hampshire
Probate & Family Court; and John
Mandragouras, Ipswich District Court,
are among the honorees.
First Assistant Chief Probation Officers Anh
Vu, Boston Municipal Court-West
Roxbury; and Steven K. McKeown, Worcester
Juvenile Court, will be recognized.
Support Staff employees Lynn McGovern, Attleboro
District Court Probation Office Manager
and Erica Vicente, Acting Probation
Case Coordinator, Middlesex Juvenile Court,
will be presented with awards.
Assistant Chief Probation Officers Peter
Kotch, Franklin/Hampshire Juvenile
Court; and Bill Wickman, Dedham
District Court, are also among the honorees.
The presentation of the Kevin Duggan
Community Service Award will follow the Probation
Employee Recognition Awards Ceremony.
Berkshire Juvenile Court Chief Probation
Officer William Gale is this year’s recipient
of the Duggan Community Service Award. This award is
named in honor of Kevin Duggan, former Statewide Supervisor
for the Massachusetts Trial Court Community Service Program,
who passed away during the summer of 2006.
