SUFFOLK SUPERIOR COURT PROBATION DEPARTMENT CONDUCTS DRIVE
TO ASSIST TWO EMPLOYEES STRUCK BY TRAGEDY

Suffolk Superior Court Probation Department is conducting a drive for clothing, household items, and non-perishable food for two employees who recently lost everything they owned to two separate devastating fires.

The apartment of a Suffolk Superior Probation Department employee was destroyed by a October 24th fire. The belongings of the employee and her children were damaged, leaving them with just the clothes on their back, according to Chief Probation Officer Sandy Stillwell.

Another employee returned home last week to discover the death of her elderly mother caused by a fire and her home of many years completely destroyed.

"This is a very sad situation for two families to find themselves in so close to the holidays. We are conducting a drive to help lessen their burden. We would like to invite other court employees as well as those outside of the state system to participate in this drive," said Stillwell.

For information on how to donate items or to volunteer to participate in the drive, contact First Assistant Chief Probation Officer Linda Owens at 617-788-7241 or Chief Probation Officer Sandy Stillwell at 617-788-7255.
