Elizabeth Mancuso & another v. Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association
Whether plaintiff, a high school student, had a constitutional right to participate in interscholastic athletics, such that she was entitled to due process before being declared ineligible; whether the student was deprived of due process in a way that is actionable under the State Civil Rights Act or 42 U.S.C. ' 1983; whether MIAA's decisions on eligibility are subject to judicial review and what standard would apply.

Parties filing amicus briefs are expected to comply with the requirements of Rules 17, 19 and 20 of Mass. Rules of Appellate Procedure. Amicus briefs, to assist the court, should focus on the ramifications of a decision and not solely on the interests of the parties filing such briefs.
