Commonwealth v. Kenneth J. Palmer, Jr.
Whether G.L. c. 94C, § 32L, which decriminalized possession of one ounce or less of marijuana, operated to repeal criminal sanctions imposed by G.L. c. 94C § 32C(a), for the cultivation of an ounce or less of marijuana. Paired for argument with Commonwealth v. Clint Daniel (and a companion case), SJC-11214 and Commonwealth v. Anthony L. Pacheco, SJC-11216.

Parties filing amicus briefs are expected to comply with the requirements of Rules 17, 19 and 20 of Mass. Rules of Appellate Procedure. Amicus briefs, to assist the court, should focus on the ramifications of a decision and not solely on the interests of the parties filing such briefs.
