Whether a Superior Court judge erred in confirming an arbitration award regarding tenure at a State college where the applicable collective bargaining agreement specified that tenure decisions "shall be arbitrable but any award shall be non-binding." See G.L. c. 15A, §　22, amended by St. 2008, c. 27, §　72; Board of higher Educ. v. Massachusetts Teachers' Assn., NEA, 62 Mass. App. Ct. 42, 49 (2004).

Parties filing amicus briefs are expected to comply with the requirements of Rules 17, 19 and 20 of Mass. Rules of Appellate Procedure. Amicus briefs, to assist the court, should focus on the ramifications of a decision and not solely on the interests of the parties filing such briefs.
