Invites Comments on the Report of
the Ad Hoc Advisory Committee to Study
Canon 3B(9) of the Code of Judicial Conduct
The Justices of the Supreme Judicial Court invite comments on the attached report of the Ad Hoc Advisory Committee to Study Canon 3B(9) of the Code of Judicial Conduct ("Committee"). The Committee was appointed by the Justices to consider the provisions of the Code that pertain to public comment by judges and to provide a recommendation regarding changes, if any, that should be made to the Code or commentary. Before considering the matter, the Justices are soliciting comments on the Committee's report.
