The Supreme Judicial Court Consultation Room

After oral arguments, the justices of the Supreme Judicial Court gather in the Consultation Room to discuss the cases heard that day, and for their monthly meetings to discuss draft opinions. The light fixtures, woodwork, and fireplace are original, as is the mural depicting the seal of the Commonwealth. The table is the one used by the Justices when Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. presided as Chief Justice (1899-1902).
