Help prevent home fires
Nearly 75% of building fires and two-thirds of fire deaths occur in the home as a result of cooking, heating, electrical and smoking materials. It's important that we spend time to find and fix fire hazards to keep us safe.
This week is National Fire Prevention Week and this year’s theme is “Prevent Home Fires”. Covering the basics of fire safety - installing and taking care of smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, making a home escape plan and holding fire drills at home, are just some of the ways to begin this process of converting your home into a sanctuary of safety and not a cause of concern.
