Castle Island Large, historic fort with sandy beach, pier, trails, grassy areas, benches, picnic tables, concession stand, and playground. Small parking lot and street parking.

City Point Beach Sandy beach with seawall, path, benches, picnic tables, playground, and sports fields. Free parking.

Columbus Park Recreation area abutting Carson Beach with walking/jogging path, benches, playground, and sports fields. Street parking.

Furnace Brook Greenway Walkway along brook and estuary; links to Adams Historic Site and Wollaston Beach. Small gravel parking lot.

Governor Hutchinson's Field/Pierce Reservation Woodland and fields with spectacular views of Neponset marshes and Boston Harbor. No parking.

Harbor Point Park Waterfront park with seawall and steps to the water, promenade, benches, picnic table, and gazebo. Paid parking.

L Street Beach Sandy beach with bathhouse. Street parking.

M Street Beach Sandy beach with path and benches. Street parking.

Malibu Beach Sandy beach with bathhouse. Promenade connects to Savin Hill Beach. Large parking lot off Morrissey Boulevard.

Marina Bay Pier, walkways, and benches. Located at end of Marina Drive. Free parking.

Merrymount Park Park with pebble beach, salt marsh, boat ramp, trails, restrooms, picnic area, playground, sports fields, and theater. Large parking lot off Route 3A.

Mosswetusset Hummock Wooded area within salt marsh with walkway, scenic overlook, and picnic tables. Free parking at end of Lind Street.

Neponset River Reservation Park at mouth of river with extensive marshlands upstream.

Nickerson Beach/Squaw Rock Park Rocky shore and sandy beach fringed by salt marsh with walkways. Located at end of Dorchester Street. Street parking.

Orchard Beach - Sandy beach. Street parking on Bayside Road.

Pattens Cove Small cove and salt marsh with walkways and benches. Street parking on Savin Hill Avenue.

Savin Hill Beach Sandy beach with trails, restrooms, benches, playground, and sports fields. Free parking.

Squantum Marsh Salt marsh with trails and benches. Free parking at end of Essex Street.

Squantum Point Park Pier, salt marsh, and pebble beach with walkway, benches, picnic tables, and grassy fields. Located at end of Commander Shea Boulevard. Free parking.

Tenean Beach - Sandy beach with benches, picnic tables, playground, and sports fields. New bathhouse to be completed. Free parking.

Thompson Island (Thompson Island Outward Bound Education Center) This 157-acre island with rolling hills and salt marshes, conference facilities, and a middle school. Access is available by special arrangement.

UMass/JFK Library On southerly side, University of Massachusetts Boston Harbor campus, with extensive open fields, shoreline walkways, and dock for university vessels in Savin Cove. On northerly side, John F. Kennedy Library, Massachusetts State Archives, and Boston Urban Wilds parcel (Calf Pasture), with water shuttle dock and fishing pier (with fish cleaning tables). Free parking at all locations.

Victory Road Park Park with trails and benches. Public boat ramp and pier on abutting Boston Gas property (Rainbow Park). Free parking.

Vietnam War Memorial Grassy park bordering Dorchester Bay. Limited handicapped parking spaces on Morrissey Boulevard.

Wollaston Beach Sandy beach with restrooms and benches. Free parking.
