MassSail
MassSail is offering a series of experiential educational and public outreach programs aboard the Schooner Spirit of Massachusetts that focuses on the natural and cultural history and current environmental issues of Massachusetts coastal waters. These programs may involve shore visits to local ecosystems and museums, as well as shipboard educational activities including scientific sampling, historical lessons, and, of course, the sailing of a tall ship. Example programs are: dockside educational outreach focusing on issues pertinent to the particular community being visited; day-long education sailing trips for any age groups; multi-day to multi-week experiential education trips for high school and college students; and, teacher training trips with possible graduate credit.
