Estuarine Ecology Classes

Classes are offered for students in grades 5-12 and undergraduates on a variety of topics in estuarine ecology including eutrophication, water quality monitoring, coastal processes, climate change, renewable energy, data analysis, field studies, fish and fishing, estuarine habitats and organisms, and hydrology. Classes run from two hours to several days in length. Classes include interactive classroom lessons and field studies and may be based at Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (WBNERR) or at a school or field site. Field studies may be a single experience or multi-year program of periodic sampling by students. The content of a class is determined by consultation and planning with the teacher.
