Andrea Cooper became CZM's first Coastal Smart Growth Coordinator in 2004, after serving as CZM's North Shore Regional Coordinator since 1996. Andrea has extensive experience in sustainable development and growth management, coalition building, water quality, harbor planning, and working with local officials. Before coming to CZM, Andrea served as Co-Director of the Massachusetts Audubon North Shore Conservation Advocacy office; a Merrimack Valley Planning Commissioner; the Municipal Planner for the Rowley Planning Board; and a Staff Reporter for the Newburyport Daily News.
