Technical Assistance on Coastal Smart Growth

To help communities and developers implement real-world growth techniques that protect coastal resources, CZM's Coastal Smart Growth Program provides the following types of technical assistance:

• Direct Information and Advice - Local officials, developers, and others looking to implement Smart Growth can email CZM's Coastal Smart Growth Coordinator at andrea.cooper@state.ma.us with questions and information requests.
• Workshops - To provide an interactive forum on how to integrate Low Impact Development/Smart Growth approaches in local planning and development designs, the Coastal Smart Growth Program holds workshops for local officials, engineers, developers, and others looking to implement these techniques.
• Publications, Model Bylaws/Regulations, slideshow Presentations, and Other Tools - The Coastal Smart Growth Program catalogues, develops, and distributes these materials to provide the case studies, transferable strategies, and regulatory models needed to implement local Smart Growth.
