222Site ID:EssexTown:0.1Acres:NoRapid Technical Site Assessment:RestrictionFillAgricultureOtherCompleted ProjectLowPriority:Site consists of old farm road fill across salt marsh at Warren Farm, north of Lufkin Street and East of Harlow Street. The fill crosses the marsh and tidal creek, and may impede full tidal exchange with upstream marshes. It is a small area of fill (~2000-3000 s.f.) that is ~14 feet wide and 1-2 feet above wetland grade. The land is held under a conservation restriction. Restoration actions would remove the fill from the marsh to restore wetland soils, hydrology, and vegetation. The fill could likely be re-located nearby on site to reduce costs. Restoration potential is considered low based on the relatively small area of opportunity. Restoration of this site may be appropriate as mitigation for off-site wetland impacts. The creek through the fill should be further assessed to determine whether tidal flow is restricted.Site Summary:Under DevelopmentImpact Type(s)StatusPotential Project
