NORFOLK COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY WILLIAM R. KEATING’S SUMMER ASSOCIATE PROGRAM

 APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• In order to be considered for a Summer Associate Program your applications must be postmarked no earlier than January 15, 2008 and no later than March 15, 2008.
• To apply, the applicant must submit the following documents:
  • Resume
  • 3 References
  • A Cover Letter Containing:  
    • Your reasons for applying
    •  Your dates of availability during the Summer 
  • Any other pertinent information you feel would help the Application Review Committee.

NOTIFICATION LETTER:

• Upon receipt of your cover letter, resume, and references, we will be notifying you by mail of our receipt of your intent to attain a summer associate position.
• Notification letters will be sent out starting on January 17, 2008
• We will be sending you a Background Check/Application and Confidentiality Agreement to be filled out and sent back to the Office of the District Attorney, Attn: Summer Associate Program, 45 Shawmut Avenue, Canton, MA 02021.
• After the background check is conducted, an interview may be scheduled.

INTERVIEW PROCESS:

• Interviews will not begin until the application deadline has expired and we have received your Confidentiality Agreement and Background Check/Application, and your background check has been completed.
• Interviews will be scheduled between the dates of March 16, 2008 and April 6, 2008. 

NOTICE OF ACCEPTANCE IN THE SUMMER ASSOCIATE PROGRAM:

• Offer letters will be sent to those applicants the Application Review Committee has selected to participate in the Summer Associate Program
• Offer letters will be sent out between March 16, 2008 and April 12, 2008.
• Upon receipt of an acceptance letter, you MUST:
  • Sign the acceptance letter
  • Fill out and complete the Summer Associate Application
  • Fill out and complete the Background Check Form
• The above information must be sent back to the Office of the District Attorney, Attn: Summer Associate Program, 45 Shawmut Avenue, Canton, MA 02021, no later than May 11, 2008.
