Mission StatementVETO (Violence-free Education, Training and Outreach) is a collaborative to end domestic violence and sexual assault. The partnering agencies of VETO include the non-profit agencies of Brockton Family and Community Resources, Highpoint Treatment Center, South Shore Women’s Resource Center, Womansplace Crisis Center, the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department and the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office. The alliance was created to illuminate Plymouth County to the fact that domestic violence, including sexual assault, is the number one cause of injury to women in the United States and this statistic reads true in our own community. VETO’s mission is to create a coordinated approach to direct services and community education throughout Plymouth County. The goals include creating a network of service agencies that provide support to victims of violence and welcome them into the community. This website is dedicated to reducing victimization and enhancing the wellbeing and safety of each member of our community through a holistic approach that involves coordination, communication and consistency among all community agencies. |
