The Victim/Witness Assistance Programon the assistance and cooperation of victims and witnesses for the successful prosecution of criminal cases.
When testifing in court, victims and witnesses make a valuable and essential contribution to the safety of the entire community. The Victim/Witness Assistance Program within the District Attorney's Office was established to assist victims and witnesses throughout the criminal justice process. Victim/Witness Advocates are available in every court to provide information, assistance and referrals. They ensure that victims, family members and witnesses of crimes are afforded their rights under the Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 258B Our Victim/Witness Assistance Program and Advocates are available for all victims and witnesses of crime in Plymouth County.
