STATE POLICE RESPOND TO DOUBLE STABBING AT MBTA STATION

Transit Police and State Police homicide detectives assigned to Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley’s office are investigating a double stabbing at about 5:30 on the outbound platform of the Roxbury Crossing MBTA station. Both victims are expected to survive.

On arrival, investigators located two teenage males, ages 16 and 18, suffering from serious stab wounds. Both victims were rushed to area hospitals.

Members of the MBTA Transit Police notified State Police of the incident. State Police investigate all homicides on state and MBTA property within the City of Boston, as well as throughout the cities and towns of Chelsea, Revere, and Winthrop.

State and Transit police will continue to investigate jointly the facts and circumstances of the incident to ensure the continuity of the investigation as the victims recover. Anyone with information on the incident is urged to call State Police at 617-727-8817 or Transit Police at 617-222-TIPS.
