Press Office
Part of the Suffolk County District Attorney's Executive Office, the Press Office provides public information to local, regional, and national media outlets, conducts news conferences, and provides office spokespersons to ensure that the public receives timely and accurate information about criminal investigations and prosecutions and office-related programs, events, services, and personnel.
The Press Office releases information to the media for two reasons: (1) To comply with requests from media organizations in accordance with public information laws; and (2) To inform the public, whom this office serves, about issues of importance to individuals and their communities.

The District Attorney's Office is a public prosecutor's office. The prosecutors, victim-witness advocates, investigators, administrators, and support personnel in the District Attorney's Office serve the citizens of Suffolk County. As such, the public is entitled to know how the office views its mission, what duties it undertakes to fulfill that mission, and how effective it is in doing so.
In determining which information shall be released to the media, the Press Office is guided both by its own internal Press Policy as well as Rules 3.6 and 3.8(e) of the Supreme Judicial Court's Rules of Professional Conduct.
This site will be updated regularly with press releases and other news information. After normal business hours, members of the media can reach the Press Office by calling (617) 872-7294.
Office of Community Relations
The Office of Community Relations works closely with the district attorney in his efforts to outreach and communicate with community at large.
The Community Relations office is primarily responsible for all activities that the office participates in outside of the courts. This office oversees safety trainings in schools, visits by District Attorney Conley to civic and community events, and participation in neighborhood crime watch meetings. The Community Relations office is charged with representing the Suffolk District Attorney's Office as its public face throughout Boston, Chelsea, Revere, and Winthrop.
