Administrative / Support Staff Positions

Current Position Open:



District Court Administrative Assistant:
in one of the County's District Courts- (Brockton, Plymouth, Wareham or Hingham)



Primary duties include but are not limited to:
  • Administrative support for the district court and staff
  • Develop, maintain and update files, records and databases
  • Data entry into the District Attorney's case management system (DAMION)
  • General receptionist duties to include answering telephones and directing callers and visitors in a professional manner
  • Copy documents, retrieve files and manage internal and external mail flow
  • Prepare letters and correspondence and summons witnesses
  • Assist with any projects and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Superb customer service skills to assist visitors and the public
  • At least two years of full-time or equivalent part-time administrative work experience
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Capability of mastering the District Attorney's database system (DAMION)
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and maturity in handling sensitive matters
  • Diplomacy in dealing with professionals and members of the public
  • Self-motivated individual who works well both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to establish and maintain harmonious relationships with fellow employees and other government agencies
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work at any one of the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office locations in Brockton, Plymouth, Wareham and Hingham
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of criminal law
  • An understanding of the role of a prosecutor's office
  • Experience with the DAMION case management system
A background check is required.  Staff members may be transferred to any one of the job sites of the District Attorney based on office needs.

Starting salary is $30,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package that is offered to all employees.  Benefits include paid vacation, personal and sick time leave; health, dental and vision insurance.  Employees also have the ability to elect Life Insurance, Deferred Compensation Savings and Tuition Remission along with other programs.
