Neighborhood WatchIt doesn't make a difference what you call it:
Crime Watch; Neighborhood Watch; or Alliance for Neighborhood Safety; it's all about helping people.
People can work with the local government and police to make neighborhoods safe and secure, and neighbors can come together to utilize the city's resources. Just a few caring individuals on the block can create an effective deterrent to crime and revitalize their neighborhoods by organizing a neighborhood watch. Organized neighbors make safe neighborhoods. What does it take? A willingness on the part of people to work together, share information like telephone numbers, work and school schedules, and set up some basic rules for how to communicate with one another, the elected officials, and the police. Police partnership is the most powerful weapon we can create to combat crime. And, best of all, it doesn't cost anything but some of your time. Anyone can help elect block leaders, precinct captains, and ward coordinators.
