The development of a renewed vision for stewardship and management of DCR forest lands is the purpose of a public involvement process being undertaken by the agency, beginning in the spring of 2009. This process, which will involve an open, interactive dialogue with forestry experts, stakeholders, and the general public, will consider the public benefits and values of forest lands and result in recommendations on forest stewardship practices and strategies for continuing public involvement on those issues, going forward.
