Hurricane Sandy Update (11-8-12)
DCR asks that all visitors use caution when out on trails at all facilities statewide as tree damage may exist along trails and roads causing hazardous conditions. Please call the park headquarters or the community relations line at (617) 626-4973 to report trail conditions or email mass.parks@state.ma.us.
The following list of DCR facilities remains closed to visitors as DCR Staff are in the process of conducting trail assessments following Hurricane Sandy:
Mt. Washington State Forest, Mount Washington
Tolland State Forest, Tolland
OHV Trail Parks
DCR Saw crews have been working all week clearing OHV Trails located in Western Massachusetts. Please read below for details:
Pittsfield State Forest, Pittsfield – Open. Please note, DCR Rangers and signage will be redirecting visitors to reroute to access OHV trails.
Tolland State Forest, Tolland – Closed, crews continuing to assess trails.
