Blue Hills Reservation

Kick off the New Year with a winter hike on January 1, 2013

CENTRAL

Dunn State Park, Gardner, 12:00 p.m.

Meet at the Visitor Center. -more info-

Blackstone River and Canal Heritage State Park, Uxbridge 1:00 p.m.

Meet at the Visitor Center., which opens at noon for registration and a special interpretive program. -more info-

BOSTON

Chestnut Hill Reservation, Brighton, 12:00 p.m.

Meet at DCR’s Reilly Skating Rink, 355 Chestnut Hill Avenue. -more info-

NORTH

Bradley Palmer State Park, Topsfield, 10:00 a.m.

Meet at headquarters. Willowdale Estates will host a reception following the hike.

Walden Pond State Reservation, Concord, 1:00 p.m.

Meet at the Thoreau House Replica, where a Living History Program will begin at noon. -more info-

Breakheart Reservation, Saugus, 12:00 p.m.

Meet at the Visitor Center and enjoy free clam chowder, coffee and hot cocoa. -more info-

SOUTH

Blue Hills State Reservation, Milton, 1:00 p.m.

Meet in the Houghton’s Pond Parking Lot at 840 Hillside St. Arrive early to allow sufficient time for parking. Free soup will be served at Noon. -more info-
