The Great Park Pursuit

The Great Park Pursuit is a team challenge adventure activity that will connect families with the outdoors and their state park resources.

So come on! Accept the challenge and join The Great Park Pursuit! Teams are challenged to visit six different state parks over a six-week period as part of a fun Massachusetts State Parks Family Adventure! Teams will hike to amazing views, learn to fish, discover secrets of the coast, roast s’mores over an open campfire and much more! Each week is filled with new outdoor adventures to discover and enjoy! Log onto the website each week and use the clues to decipher the next park adventure location. Complete tasks at five of the six parks and your team will be deemed semi-finalists and eligible compete for the grand prize packages!

The 2008 Great Park Pursuit is offering two special event days: May 17th and June 7th. Take a minute to read about these event day opportunities!

May 17th Park Serve Day! Join a day of conservation and community! Register here for the park of your choice. Volunteer at a park in your backyard or a park you’ve always wanted to visit. Roll up your sleeve and lend a hand as thousands of volunteers support park improvement efforts state-wide.

June 7th Camp Out! Complete your coastal discovery day by reserving a spot at our first CampOut! A special invitation to campout under the stars at the event park. Camp Out participants will enjoy camping skills clinic and demos, a catered cookout, evening programs and campfire. Novice and veteran campers are welcome! The CampOut is located at a coastal park in Southeastern Massachusetts.
