MASSACHUSETTS DEPARTMENT OF
CONSERVATION AND RECREATION
TO HOLD EGG HUNTS FOR CHILDREN THIS SPRING
BOSTON – The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), in partnership with WBMX-FM radio (Mix 98.5) and two local candy shops, is sponsoring three free egg hunts for children at DCR facilities in the Boston area – complete with visits from a big, pink bunny.
The annual spring events attract several hundred children who look for – and almost always find – the thousands of little toy-filled plastic eggs hidden in the parks. But don’t be late: Most of the eggs are discovered within the first half hour.
Here are this year’s events:
Saturday, March 31, at 11 a.m. in Pope John Paul II Park in Dorchester (at the Gallivan Boulevard entrance near Neponset Circle). Sponsored by Phillips Candy House and Mix 98.5.
Saturday, March 31, at 1 p.m. at Houghton’s Pond in Milton (in the Blue Hills Reservation on Hillside Street). Sponsored by Mix 98.5.
Saturday, April 7, at noon at Breakheart Reservation in Saugus (at the Christopher P. Dunne Visitors Center, Forest Street entrance). Sponsored by Winfrey’s Fudge & Candy and Mix 98.5.
