STATE CAMPGROUNDS TO OPEN STARTING FRIDAY, APRIL 13

The tulips are blooming, the sun is shining and the mercury is rising.  Summer is rapidly approaching, as is camping season!  Camping is an easy, affordable way to enjoy the natural beauty of Massachusetts, and Massachusetts State Parks are a great place to camp.

The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) has 29 campgrounds located throughout the Commonwealth, from the Berkshires to Cape Cod.  Five of these campgrounds will open on Friday, April 13, and the remainder will open on varying dates throughout May and June.  A detailed schedule is attached.

To make a reservation, call ReserveAmerica’s toll-free reservations line, 1-877-I-CAMP-MA (1-877-422-6762), or visit ReserveAmerica.com.  For more information about camping in DCR’s state parks, forests and reservations, go online to www.mass.gov/dcr/recreate/camping.htm.
