DCR ANNOUNCES ONE-WAY DETOUR FOR REVERE BEACH BOULEVARD

EFFECTIVE MONDAY, MAY 7, 2007

The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) today announced that a one-way detour on Revere Beach Boulevard would go into effect on Monday, May 7, 2007. The detour will remain in place until November.

Revere Beach Boulevard will accommodate only northbound traffic from Kelly’s Roast Beef (410 Revere Beach Blvd.) to Carey Circle. Southbound traffic will use Route 1A beginning at Carey Circle, returning to Revere Beach Boulevard via Oak Island Street. Left turns onto the boulevard will be allowed at Kelly’s.

The detour is necessary due to the Revere Beach Boulevard Restoration Project that DCR is undertaking.
