NOTICE OF EMERGENCY REPAIRS FOR

WOODS MEMORIAL BRIDGE

MEDFORD/EVERETT

APRIL 15, 2005

The six lane Woods Memorial Bridge, located between Santilli Circle in Everett and Wellington Circle in Medford on Revere Beach Parkway (Rt. 16) is currently undergoing joint repair work. This work has been underway since Monday April 11, 2005 and is necessitated by damage caused by the harsh winter and the high number of plow able events. Inspections associated with this repair revealed additional deterioration which requires immediate attention.

As a result, starting at approximately 3:00 p.m. Friday April 15, 2005 and continuing until complete, the westbound side of the bridge (toward Wellington Circle) will be reduced to two lanes for emergency repairs. The restrictions are as follows;

· Center Lane Closed for construction

· Truck Traffic and Buses restricted to left lane

· Speed limit reduced to 20 miles per hour

Sufficient police details will be on hand to direct traffic and motorists should expect delays.
