Dean Pond is unstaffed for the 2012 season
This rolling, heavily forested property has over
20 miles of roads and trails and is used primarily for hiking, walking,
horseback riding and fishing. Dean Pond Recreation Area, located
in the western portion of Brimfield State Forest, has a pavilion,
comfort station, 100 linear feet of beach and picnic facilities.
The roads are popular for equestrian use and related special events.

Park Directions
HQ’s & Dean Pond Recreation Area are located off of Rte 20 in south-central Mass.
Directions to Recreation Area on Dean Pond Rd.:
From the West:
- Take Massachusetts Turnpike East(Rte. I-90E) to exit 8 in Palmer.
- Take Rte. 32 South to Rte. 20 East.
- Follow Rte 20E towards Brimfield.
- Take a right onto Monson Rd.
- Take your next left onto Dean Pond Rd.
- Recreation area will be on your right in 2 miles
From the East:
- Take Mass Pike (Rte. I-90) to exit 9 in Sturbridge.
- Take Rte. 20 West thru Brimfield center.
- Take a left onto Monson Rd.
- Take your next left onto Dean Pond Rd.
- Recreation area will be on your right in 2 miles
