Chicopee Memorial SP has reopened 7 days a week from 8 a.m-4 pm. There are several trails that still remain closed due to the October 29-30, 2011 storm. Visitors must park in Lots 1 and 2, as Parking Lots 3, 4 and 5 remain closed. The bike trail is open. Visitors are strongly advised to stay off several trails that remain closed and are marked accordingly.

Chicopee State Park, formerly the Cooley Brook Reservoir and Watershed has been developed as a high use active recreation area. The total acreage is 575 acres including a 25 acre pond. Activities include swimming, fishing and picnicking.

Fishing Restrictions: No Ice Fishing allowed as ice conditions and water levels fluctuate often.

The park is located in the southern Ct River Valley.

FROM THE WEST

1. Head east on I-90 E
2. Take exit 6 toward Springfield- 0.5 mi
3. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Burnett Rd 0.2 mi
4. Continue on Burnett Rd. Park will be on the left - 0.3 mi

FROM THE EAST

1. Head west on I-90 W
2. Take exit 6 toward Springfield - 0.3 mi
3. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Burnett Rd - 0.2 mi
4. Continue on Burnett Rd.  Park will be on the left - 0.3 mi

FROM THE NORTH

1. Take I-91 S

2. Take exit 14 to merge onto I-90 E
3. Take exit 6 toward Springfield-0.5 mi
4. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Burnett Rd - 0.2 mi
5. Continue on Burnett Rd. Park will be on the left - 0.3 mi

FROM THE SOUTH

1. Take I-91 N

2. Take exit 14 to merge onto I-90 E
3. Take exit 6 toward Springfield - 0.5 mi
4. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Burnett Rd - 0.2 mi
