Lake Dennison Recreation Area

Lake Dennison is a section of the Army Corps of Engineers Birch Hill Flood Control Project. The DCR, via Otter River State Park staff, manages 4,221 acres of Corp land for recreational use. Located in Winchendon, the park has 150 campsites. There is a swimming beach on Lake Dennison.

Things to know before you go…
The campground office hours are 10am–10pm. The regular camping season is from late May to early September. At the beach you can swim between 10am and 8pm, but stay within the designated buoy areas.

Park Directions
Lake Dennison Recreation Area is located in north-central Massachusetts.


From the east: Take Rte. 2 west to exit 20, then right onto Baldwinville Rd. to the end, right on Rte. 202 north 3.7 miles to park entrance on the left.


From the west: Follow Rte. 2 East to exit 20, then left onto Baldwinville Rd. to the end, then right on Rte. 202 North 3.7 miles to Park entrance on the left.

From the South: Same as Otter River but approx. 5 miles from Route 2, Campground entrance is the 2nd Lake Dennison entrance off of Route 202 North on your left.

 

From the North: Same as Otter River but approx. 5 miles from Route 2, Campground entrance is the 2nd Lake Dennison entrance off of Route 202 North.
