DCR Parks offers many day-use
areas that may be reserved for both large and small
groups. Most areas are accessible to people of all abilities.
How do I get a permit
to book an athletic field?
DCR's Urban Division manages twenty-eight (28) properties offering
active sport
facilities. These include tennis and basketball courts
and baseball, softball, soccer and football fields.

Can I hunt in a state park?
Hunting is permitted in most state forests and parks. Hunting seasons
are established by the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and
Wildlife and licenses are required. Click here for a listing

Can I use an off-highway vehicle (ATV or ORV)
in a state park?
There are
seven State Forest management areas where off-highway vehicles can
