Operating Hours and Seasons

The park is open year-round from sunrise until dusk. Access is free. The auto roads are currently closed for safety and access improvements. Bascom Lodge and the Veterans War Memorial Tower are closed; the campground and Stony Ledge are accessible by hiking only. During this period the Visitors Center and trails remain open. Full operation and access to all these facilities is scheduled to resume in 2009, upon completion of the Historic Parkway road repairs.

The auto roads are closed to snowmobiling until completion of the Historic Parkway road reconstruction project from 2007-2009. Snowmobiling is permitted on designated trails other than the road system. East-west passage through the park across Jones Nose is permitted along Route 90. Parking for snowmobiling is available in Greylock Glen at the end of West Mountain Road in Adams. Snowmobiling is permitted during appropriate conditions: 4-inch minimum hard-packed snow base. Snowmobiling is permitted after sunset. Call the park for updates or visit the Snowmobile Association of Massachusetts (SAM) website.
