Scusset Beach is located on Cape Cod Bay at the
east end of the Cape Cod Canal. It is a popular swimming and camping
area. The 98-site camping area
is very popular with trailer campers. For salt water anglers, the
area offers a popular fish pier, a 3000 breakwater and 1.5 miles
of frontage along the canal. A picnic area and bicycling along the
canal are also available. The Reservation is also a popular spot
for watching the variety of boats and ships passing through the
canal.

Things to know before you go…
The Main Camping season is Mid April to Mid October
- Campground office is open 8am to 8pm in season
- RV Dump station is open 8am to 12 noon daily
- All campsites are Back in only
- Please limit the number of personal vehicles you bring to the campground as parking space is very limited.
Off Season Camping is available Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights Mid October to Mid April.
- No Dump station, water or restrooms are available. Units must be self contained.
- Office is open from 8am to 9am and 12 noon to 1pm on camping days.
- Self registration information and forms are available on the outside of the camping office. Check maps on bulletin board for available campsites.
General Information
- No RV parking is allowed in the main beach or Jetty parking lots from May 15th to September 15th.
- No Pets are allowed on the Beach
- Youth Groups should contact the park office ahead of time to schedule visits.
Park Directions
Scusset Beach State Reservation is located in southeastern Massachusetts.
From south of Boston
- RT-3 S toward Plymouth/Cape Cod
- Take exit 1A for US-6 W toward Buzzards Bay/Falmouth/Scusset Beach Rd
- Keep left at the fork, follow signs for Scusset Beach Rd
- Turn left at Scenic Hwy
- Continue on Meetinghouse Lane
- Continue on Scusset Beach Rd
From the Cape
- US-6 W towards Boston/Providence R.I.
- Take the exit toward Canal St/RT-3A
- Slight right at Canal St/RT-3A
- Turn right at Meetinghouse Lane
- Continue on Scusset Beach Rd
From Wareham
- US-6 E
- At the traffic circle, take the 1st exit onto Main St
- At Bourne Rotary Cir N, take the 1st exit onto US-6 E heading to Hyannis/Provincetown/RT-3/Plymouth
- Continue on Meetinghouse Lane
- Continue on Scusset Beach Rd
