Due to the Bureau of Forestry’s work on Asian Longhorned Beetle mitigation and cleanup of the December 2008 ice storm damage, the July 1, 2009 Proposed Timber Harvest Summaries will be delayed for approximately one month. The public meetings for this project posting period will be on Thursday, August 20, 2009 and the 45 day comment period will be adjusted from the new posting date. Please check back soon!
Please be advised that the Department of Conservation and Recreation has finalized the Forestry Public Notification Policy and the Proposed Timber Harvesting Summaries available are online and at every DCR Regional Office and the Boston Office for public review.
It will be greatly appreciated if all public comments are received within 45 days of posting the Proposed Timber Harvesting activities in order for the Bureau to address the public issues and incorporate suggestions and concerns into the silvicultural prescriptions. A Public Notification Summary Public Comment Card Aid has been developed to assist you in providing comment on specific projects that you are interested in.
