The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Program at DCR provides maps, geographical data, geographic analyses and GPS services to DCR. GIS plays an important role in many of DCR's programs and the demand for GIS services has been increasing.

ArcView Extension
The DCR GIS Program, in conjunction with the Norcross Wildlife Foundation, has created an extension to ArcView which provides many important GIS data editing tools to the ArcView environment. If you are interested in using ArcView to edit polygon and line data then you will want to use our extension. Click here for an overview of the DCR/NWF Data Editing Extension.

The GIS Program is looking to continue to provide more and better environmental data, new ArcView and Arc/INFO scripts and Internet based mapping to this web site. Currently, funding for these initiatives is extremely limited. If you would like to help support these and other initiatives of the GIS Program, tax-deductible contributions can be made through the Conservation Trust. Recommended amounts have been suggested but any support that you can give will be appreciated.
