Current Projects

 

The Department of Conservation & Recreation (DCR) is pleased to announce that we are bringing DCR’s Heritage Landscape Inventory Program to selected communities in the Connecticut River Valley.

The following communities are eligible to apply to participate:  Agawam, Amherst, Belchertown, Bernardston, Chicopee, Deerfield, East Longmeadow, Easthampton, Erving, Gill, Granby, Greenfield, Hadley, Hampden, Hatfield, Holyoke, Leverett, Longmeadow, Ludlow, Monson, Montague, New Salem, Northampton, Northfield, Palmer, Pelham, Shutesbury, South Hadley, Southampton, Southwick, Springfield, Sunderland, Wales, Ware, Wendell, West Springfield, Westfield, Westhampton, Whatley, and Wilbraham.

To learn how your community can apply to participate in the Heritage Landscape Inventory Program’s Connecticut River Valley Reconnaissance Survey, please consider attending one of our two informational workshops:

  • Friday, Sept 5th, 9 – 10:30 a.m. at the Westfield Athenaeum Library. DCR Commissioner Richard K. Sullivan, Jr. will be launching the effort in the region at this first workshop.
  • Tuesday, Sept 9th, 5:30 – 7 p.m. at Greenfield Community College, Downtown Center
