Instructors

The Department of Conservation and Recreation is seeking authorized Water Safety Instructors and Lifeguarding Instructors to help teach swimming and lifeguarding programs at our state-operated pool facilities.

Instructors seeking a position with the Department must meet the minimum employment requirements for lifeguards at the facility where the Instructor will be working. Instructors seeking a Head Lifeguard position must also meet the requirements for Head Lifeguards.

If you've got the required certifications, then we need you to help us develop and grow a learn-to-swim program or a junior lifeguarding program at one of our state-operated pools. Apply today for one of our lifeguarding positions.

If you're looking to become either a WSI or an LGI, then contact your local American Red Cross Chapter for information on courses in your area.

If you don't have the necessary certifications, contact your local American Red Cross Chapter for information on courses in your area.
