Massachusetts Department of Food and Agriculture - Bureau of Land Use/Agricultural Preservation Restriction Program

The Bureau of Land Use administers the Agricultural Preservation Restriction Program which protects prime farmland from development.

Massachusetts Natural Heritage and Endangered Species Program

The goal of this program is the protection of the state's wide range of native biological diversity. Progress towards this goal is accomplished through biological field surveys and research, data management, environmental impact review, rare species recovery and ecological restoration of key habitats, land protection and education.

EOEA Division of Conservation Services

Provides technical and financial assistance to farmers in matters dealing with farm plans or sediment and erosion control: grants to municipalities for conservation and parkland acquisition construction, development of open space plans and technical assistance in seeking approval of conservation restrictions.

DCR Conservation Trust

Provides a mechanism through which visitors, businesses, and foundations can protect and improve Massachusetts state forests and parks directly. Tax-deductible contributions to the Trust can be earmarked for a favorite forest or park, or for a favorite program.

Massachusetts Audubon Society - News and Action -Legislative Priorities

The mission of Massachusetts Audubon Society is to protect the nature of Massachusetts - to maintain, protect, restore, and enhance native plants, animals, and habitats. The overriding legislative priority of the Society will be to analyze the state environmental budget, work to maintain important environmental programs, and restore funding for threatened programs.
