DCR Ranger, Dunn State Park, Gardner   

The Bureau of Ranger Services is comprised of three specialty areas: Education and Interpretive Services, Field Rangers, and State House Rangers. Each area within the Bureau works independently and cooperatively with other members of the Bureau, DCR, State and Federal agencies and outside partners to meet the Bureau’s objectives within the Department’s mission.

The Bureau serves to provide education, interpretation, and public safety on and to the natural and cultural resources of the parks, preserving and protecting these lands put into the public trust of the Commonwealth.

Education, Interpretation and Visitor Services

Park Interpreters, Regional Educators and Visitor Services Supervisors serve to increase the public’s awareness and appreciation of the commonwealth’s natural, cultural and historical resources through educational and recreational programs and services.

The DCR hires Rangers and Interpreters on a seasonal basis.  Positions will be posted on the Commonwealth Employment Opportunities CEO as they become available.
