QUABBIN FISHING SEASON OPENS APRIL 15TH

2008 QUABBIN FISHING SEASON OPENS APRIL 19^TH

The 2008 Quabbin Fishing Season will open for shore and boat fishing on April 19^th. Hopefully that will avoid any confusion in case someone reads that page and thinks the April 19 date is for 2009. All three Quabbin Boat Launch Areas - Area I (Gate 8) off Route 202 in Belchertown, Area II (Gate 31) off Route 31 in New Salem, and Area III (Gate 43) off Route 32A in Hardwick - will be in full operation beginning that day. The Boat Launch Areas will be open seven days a week this year for the season which runs through October 18^th.

In addition to private boat launching facilities, boat rentals are available on a first come-first serve basis at all three locations.
