2008 ParksPasses
Give the Gift of Adventure - The Massachusetts ParksPass Makes a Perfect Gift for Any Occasion! Purchase a Massachusetts ParksPass as a gift for holidays, birthdays, and anniversaries, or just to a put a smile on someone's face. Special gift cards are available through the DCR Boston office. If ordered by phone or mail, the ParksPass will be sent either to you, with our “A Gift for All Seasons” gift card for you to personalize, or to the person who you would like to receive the ParksPass with your name on the card. It’s your choice! The Massachusetts ParksPass is an annual pass. It provides visitors unlimited day-use parking access to state park facilities within the DCR that charge a parking fee, with the exception of Nahant and Nantasket Beaches. The ParksPasses are hangtags issued for one vehicle and are valid for one calendar year – January 1 to December 31. Parking fees currently range from $2.00 at day use areas to $5.00 at inland water areas to $7.00 at ocean beaches. (See below for a list of state park facilities that charge a parking fee.)
ParksPass holders may purchase an additional "second car" sticker for $15.00. The sticker, affixed to the ParksPass hangtag, will permit a second family vehicle registration number to be added, allowing annual pass holders to interchange the ParksPass between two family vehicles. The "second car" sticker is available at all locations where the annual pass is sold.
Waivers The Massachusetts Senior Pass is a benefit offered to state residents who are 62 years of age or older. The pass allows free parking for the vehicle occupied by the pass holder, whether they are driving or a passenger. Passes are available at all parks that charge a parking fee. A Senior Pass is not valid at campgrounds and is subject to availabile parking.
How to Purchase a ParksPass At the park: ParksPasses are available at all DCR state park facilities that charge daily parking fees (except for Nahant and Nantasket Beaches) and may be paid for in cash. (See below for parks where fees apply) By phone: Call our order line at 617-626-4969 with a credit card – Mastercard or Visa are acccepted ( No debit cards) – and provide requested information. By mail: DCR accepts personal checks made payable to the “Commonwealth of Massachusetts” in the amount of $35.00 for Massachusetts residents or $45.00 for out-of-state residents. Please add $15.00 to the appropriate ParksPass fee if requesting the second car sticker. Checks may be sent to:
